Dairy free meal plan with easy swaps for milk and cheese
Whether it's lactose intolerance, a milk allergy or a baby who reacts through breast milk, going dairy free changes breakfast, sauces and snacks overnight. This prompt has your todo.is agent plan a week without milk, cheese, butter or cream, suggest the best swap for each, and make sure calcium still shows up every day.
The prompt
- Make a 7-day dairy free meal plan for [WHO]. Reason: [REASON]. No milk, cheese, butter, cream, yogurt, whey or casein. For every dish that normally uses dairy, tell me the swap you used (for example olive oil instead of butter, oat milk instead of milk, cashew cream instead of cream). Include a calcium-rich food every day (fortified plant milk, calcium-set tofu, canned sardines, kale, almonds, tahini) and say which one. I also avoid [OTHER FOODS]. Plan [MEALS], with a list of dairy names to watch for on labels. Give me a PDF with the plan, recipes and grocery list, and email it to me.
What to change
- [WHO]: E.g. "me", "my 3-year-old", or "me while breastfeeding".
- [REASON]: E.g. "lactose intolerance" or "cow's milk protein allergy" (stricter: whey and casein matter).
- [OTHER FOODS]: Other allergies like nuts or soy, so the swaps avoid them too.
- [MEALS]: E.g. "breakfast, lunch and dinner" or "dinners and snacks".

Tips for a better result
- Pick plant milks with added calcium and vitamin D. Many organic brands are unfortified.
- If it's lactose intolerance, say so: hard cheeses and lactose-free milk may still be fine, and the plan can be less strict.
- For a child or a breastfeeding parent with an allergic baby, have the plan checked by your doctor or a dietitian.
- Your agent remembers your allergies, so every future meal plan or recipe you ask for stays dairy free.
dairy free meal plan: FAQ
- Is lactose intolerance the same as a dairy allergy? No. Lactose intolerance is trouble digesting milk sugar and often allows some dairy. A milk allergy is an immune reaction to milk proteins like casein and whey and needs strict avoidance.
- How do I get enough calcium without dairy? Eat fortified plant milks and yogurts, calcium-set tofu, canned fish with bones, tahini, almonds, kale and other leafy greens. Ask your doctor if you might need a supplement.
- Are eggs dairy? No. Eggs are not dairy, so they are fine on a dairy free diet unless you are also allergic to eggs.
