University comparison: your shortlist side by side, with sources
You have five tabs open per university and still can't say which course suits you. Give your todo.is agent your shortlist and what matters to you. It reads each official course page, pulls out entry requirements, modules, assessment, fees, accommodation and deadlines, and lays everything out in one table with a link for every fact.
The prompt
- Compare these universities for [COURSE]: [UNIVERSITIES]. I am applying as [STUDENT TYPE] for entry in [START YEAR]. My grades or predicted grades are [MY GRADES]. Use each university's official course page first. For each one find: entry requirements and whether I meet them, course length, core and optional modules, how it is assessed (exams vs coursework), placement or study abroad options, tuition fees for my student type, cost of living and accommodation in the city, application deadline and how to apply. Score each against my priorities: [MY PRIORITIES]. Give me an Excel table with one column per university and a link for every fact, plus a one-page PDF summary with your top pick and why. Mark anything you could not confirm.
What to change
- [COURSE]: E.g. "BSc Computer Science" or "MSc Data Science".
- [UNIVERSITIES]: Your shortlist, e.g. "University of Leeds, University of Glasgow, TU Delft, KU Leuven". 3 to 8 works best.
- [STUDENT TYPE]: E.g. "a home student in England", "an international student from Brazil", "an EU student". This changes fees a lot.
- [START YEAR]: E.g. "September 2027".
- [MY GRADES]: E.g. "A*AA predicted in Maths, Physics, Computing" or "GPA 3.6, IELTS 7.0".
- [MY PRIORITIES]: E.g. "year in industry, low cost of living, coursework over exams, near a big city".

- • University B: requires AAA incl. Maths (you meet it) · 4-year option with placement · more exam-heavy in year 1 · lower living costs
- • University C: requires A*A*A (you are one grade short) · strong research focus, no placement year · capital city, high rents

- Not confirmed
- • University D accommodation guarantee for first-years (page unclear; email admissions)
- • Fee figures are for the current year; next year's may change, so check the official fee page
How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt, list your universities and course, and add your grades and priorities.
- Send it to your agent on the Today screen in todo.is, or by WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Open the Excel table: every row has a link to the page it came from, so you can check it.
- Ask follow-ups like "add two cheaper options in the Netherlands" or "which ones accept my IB score?".
Tips for a better result
- Compare modules, not just rankings. Two courses with the same name can be very different in years 2 and 3.
- Your student type changes fees and deadlines, so state it clearly.
- Ask the agent to find each university's open day or virtual tour dates and add them to your Google Calendar.
- Keep a safer choice and a stretch choice in the shortlist, not only top-ranked ones.
university comparison: FAQ
- Where does the agent get the information? It reads the universities' official course, fees and admissions pages first, then other public sources if needed, and links every fact so you can check it.
- Can it include rankings and student satisfaction? Yes. Ask it to add the latest published league table positions or survey results, with the source and year next to each number.
- Are fees and requirements guaranteed to be right? No. They change every year and can differ by nationality, so confirm on the official page or with admissions before you apply.
- Can it compare universities in different countries? Yes. It notes differences like application systems, course length and language requirements, and converts fees to your currency as a rough guide.
