A subscription audit that finds every recurring charge you forgot
Streaming, apps, cloud storage, a gym you went to twice. Small monthly charges add up and most people can't name them all. This prompt has your todo.is agent read your bank statement or search your Gmail receipts, list every subscription with its yearly cost, flag the ones you don't use and give you cancel steps and links.
The prompt
- Do a subscription audit for me. I've attached [STATEMENTS OR EXPORTS]. Also search my Gmail for receipts and renewal emails from the last [HOW MANY MONTHS]. List every recurring charge with name, amount, how often, yearly cost, next renewal date and which card it's on. Mark duplicates and price increases. I use these regularly: [WHAT I USE]. Sort the rest into cancel, downgrade or keep, with the cancel steps and link for each. Send me an Excel sheet and a one-page summary of how much I'd save per year. Then on the [DAY OF MONTH] of every month, check new charges and message me about anything new or more expensive.
What to change
- [STATEMENTS OR EXPORTS]: Attach 3 months of bank or card statements (PDF or CSV). Or write "no files, Gmail only".
- [HOW MANY MONTHS]: E.g. "12 months". Annual renewals only show up over a year.
- [WHAT I USE]: E.g. "Netflix, Spotify family, iCloud 200 GB, my running app".
- [DAY OF MONTH]: E.g. "3rd", a few days after your salary or statement date.

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt, attach your statements or say Gmail only, and list what you really use.
- Paste it into todo.is. For receipts in Gmail, connect Google first in Settings.
- You get an Excel sheet of every recurring charge and a one-page savings summary.
- Cancel the ones you choose yourself using the links, then let the monthly check catch new ones.
Tips for a better result
- Look at 12 months, not 1. Yearly renewals like antivirus, domains and memberships hide in other months.
- Free trials are the most common forgotten charge. Ask your agent to remind you 2 days before any trial ends.
- Check the app store subscription page on your phone too: those charges often show only as the store name on statements.
- Your files stay in your own agent workspace and only your agent reads them.
subscription audit: FAQ
- How do I find all my subscriptions? Go through 3 to 12 months of bank and card statements, your phone's app store subscriptions, and search your email for words like receipt, renewal and subscription.
- How often should I do a subscription audit? A full audit once or twice a year and a quick monthly check of new charges keeps things under control.
- Can my agent cancel subscriptions for me? It gives you the exact steps and links. It doesn't log in to cancel or change payment settings on its own; you do that, or approve each step if it helps you in the browser.
- Is it safe to upload my bank statement? Files stay in your own agent workspace and only your agent uses them. You can remove card numbers or balances before uploading if you prefer.
