Watermark photos in bulk with your logo or name
You are sending client proofs, posting your work online or listing products, and you want your name on every picture without opening each one in an editor. This prompt has your todo.is agent add the same watermark to a whole batch of photos with exact placement and opacity, and keep the originals untouched.
The prompt
- Add a watermark to all [NUMBER] attached photos. Watermark: [WATERMARK]. Place it [POSITION], about [SIZE] of the image width, at [OPACITY] opacity, with a margin from the edges. Use white on dark photos and dark grey on light ones so it is always visible but not distracting. Keep each photo's original size and quality, keep the original files unchanged, and name the new ones like the originals with "_wm". Put them all in one ZIP and show me 3 samples first.
What to change
- [NUMBER]: E.g. "40". Attach the photos (up to 50 MB each), or a few batches.
- [WATERMARK]: E.g. "my attached logo PNG", "the text © Lena Brandt Photography 2026", or both.
- [POSITION]: E.g. "bottom right corner", "centred", "diagonal across the middle" (harder to crop out, for proofs).
- [SIZE]: E.g. "15%" for a corner mark, "50%" for a proof watermark.
- [OPACITY]: E.g. "40%" for subtle, "70%" for clearly visible.
Example result
- Watermarking: wedding proofs for the Harlow wedding
- 40 JPG photos · logo PNG plus "© Lena Brandt Photography" · bottom right · 15% of width · 40% opacity
- Files delivered
- • watermarked_photos.zip with 40 files named like the originals, e.g. harlow_0123_wm.jpg
- • Originals untouched; the watermarked copies are new files
- • Same pixel size as the originals and saved at high JPG quality, so no visible loss
- How it was placed
- • Margin of 3% from the right and bottom edges on every photo
- • On portrait photos the mark is sized by width too, so it looks the same across the set
- • White version used on 31 darker photos, dark grey on 9 bright beach and white dress photos
- • Three photos had a face near the bottom right corner, so the mark was moved to bottom left on those (listed in the reply)
- Choosing a watermark style
- • Small corner mark (10 to 15%, 30 to 50% opacity): for your portfolio, Instagram and website. Credits you without spoiling the photo
- • Centred or diagonal (40 to 60%, 50 to 70% opacity): for client proofs and stock previews, where you do not want a free copy used
- • Tiled pattern: strongest protection, for photos you send before payment
- Good to know
- • A watermark helps people find you and discourages casual copying, but anyone determined can crop or edit it out
- • Keep the unwatermarked originals for final delivery and prints
- • Logo files work best as PNG with a transparent background; a JPG logo shows a white box
- • For PDFs (contracts, documents), ask for a PDF watermark instead
How to do it with todo.is
- Attach your photos and your logo (PNG with transparency) in todo.is.
- Copy the prompt and set the watermark text or logo, position, size and opacity.
- Check the 3 samples, then download the ZIP with every watermarked photo.
- Next time just write "same watermark as last time on these photos"; your agent remembers the settings.
Tips for a better result
- Use your logo as a transparent PNG. A logo with a white box looks like a sticker on the photo.
- Diagonal or centred marks protect proofs better; corner marks are for photos you want to look good when shared.
- Ask for the mark to "avoid faces and the main subject" so it never covers someone's eyes.
- Shooting regularly? Send each new batch to your agent on Telegram with "watermark these" and get the ZIP back.
watermark photos: FAQ
- How do I watermark many photos at once? Attach all the photos and your logo or text in one to-do. Your agent applies the same watermark to each and returns them in a ZIP.
- Does a watermark reduce photo quality? No visible loss: the original size is kept and files are saved at high quality. Your original files are not changed.
- Can someone remove my watermark? A small corner mark can be cropped or edited out. Larger centred or tiled marks are much harder to remove, so use them for proofs.
- Where should a watermark go? For portfolio photos, a small corner mark is common. For proofs, centre it over the subject so it cannot be cropped away.
