A bucket list made for you, with a first step for every item
Most bucket lists are copied from the internet and then forgotten in a notes app. This prompt has your todo.is agent ask what matters to you, suggest ideas that fit your life and budget, sort them into this year, the next 5 years and someday, and give each one a first step and a rough cost so you can start.
The prompt
- Help me make my bucket list. About me: [AGE AND SITUATION]. Things I've always wanted to do: [MY OWN IDEAS]. I care most about [WHAT MATTERS TO ME]. Yearly budget for this: [YEARLY BUDGET]. Limits: [LIMITS]. Add 30 more ideas that fit me across travel, adventure, learning, creative, giving back and relationships. For each item give a rough cost, best time of year, how hard it is and one first step I can do this month. Sort into this year, next 5 years and someday, and pick 3 to start now. Send it as a PDF, and on the 1st of each month send me a WhatsApp nudge about my next item.
What to change
- [AGE AND SITUATION]: E.g. "34, two kids under 8, full-time job" or "62, newly retired".
- [MY OWN IDEAS]: Anything already on your list, e.g. "see the northern lights, learn piano, run a half marathon".
- [WHAT MATTERS TO ME]: E.g. "time with family, nature, learning new skills".
- [YEARLY BUDGET]: With currency, e.g. "2,000 EUR a year".
- [LIMITS]: Health, time or travel limits, e.g. "bad knees, max 2 weeks off a year, no flights over 8 hours".

bucket list: FAQ
- What should I put on my bucket list? Things you'd regret not doing: places to see, skills to learn, challenges, experiences with people you love and ways to give back. Make it personal, not a copy of someone else's.
- How many items should a bucket list have? There's no rule. 30 to 100 items is common. More important is picking 2 or 3 to start this year.
- How do I actually complete my bucket list? Choose a few items per year, give each a first step and a date, save for the costly ones and review the list regularly.
- Can my agent plan the trips on my list? Yes. Ask it for a full itinerary for any travel item. It finds options with links, and you book yourself.
