A private crypto portfolio tracker that reports every week
Holdings spread across two exchanges and a hardware wallet are hard to add up, and connecting them to yet another app isn't appealing. Here you just tell your todo.is agent what you hold and what you paid. It looks up prices on the web, keeps an Excel history and messages you a weekly summary.
The prompt
- Track my crypto portfolio. My holdings: [COINS, AMOUNTS AND COST]. Build an Excel file with a Holdings tab (coin, amount, where it's held, average cost, current price, value, profit or loss, % of portfolio) and a History tab that adds a row each week. Get current prices from public sources and name the source and time. Every [DAY AND TIME], update the file and send me on [WHERE TO SEND] a short report: total value in [CURRENCY], change since last week, allocation by coin, and my biggest winner and loser. Also alert me any time a coin moves more than [ALERT THRESHOLD] in 24 hours, with 2–3 news headlines and links that might explain it. Never give buy or sell advice, and never ask for my keys, seed phrase or exchange logins.
What to change
- [COINS, AMOUNTS AND COST]: E.g. "BTC 0.42 bought for $18,900 total on Coinbase; ETH 3.1 avg $2,150 on a Ledger; SOL 40 avg $95". Or attach an exchange CSV export.
- [DAY AND TIME]: E.g. "Sunday at 19:00".
- [WHERE TO SEND]: WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord or email.
- [CURRENCY]: E.g. "USD" or "EUR".
- [ALERT THRESHOLD]: E.g. "10%". Lower numbers mean more alerts. Each check uses a few AI credits.

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and list your coins, amounts and what you paid, or attach exchange CSV exports.
- Paste it on the Today screen in todo.is or send it to your agent on Telegram or WhatsApp.
- Your agent builds the spreadsheet and schedules the weekly report and alerts.
- When you buy or sell, message it ("sold 0.05 BTC at 64,000") and it updates the holdings and cost.
Tips for a better result
- Log every buy and sell with date, amount and price. Your cost basis and tax records depend on it.
- Use a threshold of 10% or more for alerts. Crypto moves 5% on quiet days, and too many alerts get ignored.
- Track where each coin is held. It's an easy way to see how much depends on one exchange.
- Ask for a monthly PDF too if you want a record to keep with your tax documents.
crypto portfolio tracker: FAQ
- Do I need to connect my wallet or exchange? No. You tell your agent what you hold, or attach an export. It never needs your keys, seed phrase or logins, and you should never share those.
- How accurate are the prices? Your agent uses public market data at the time of each check and names the source. Prices differ slightly between exchanges and change by the second.
- Will it tell me what to buy or sell? No. It reports facts, allocation and news. For investment decisions, speak to a licensed financial adviser.
- How do I report crypto on my taxes? Rules differ by country. Keep a full log of trades with dates and prices, and check your tax office's guidance or an accountant.
