Exchange rate alerts that tell you when to send or swap money
Sending tuition abroad, paying a supplier, or changing money for a trip? A small move in the rate can mean real money. Your todo.is agent checks the mid-market rate and the rate your bank or transfer service actually offers, on your schedule, and messages you when your target is reached, with the total you'd get after fees.
The prompt
- Set up exchange rate alerts for [CURRENCY PAIR]. I plan to convert about [AMOUNT] before [DEADLINE]. Every [SCHEDULE], check the mid-market rate from a reliable public source and the rate shown on these provider pages: [PROVIDERS]. Message me on [WHERE TO SEND IT] when the mid-market rate reaches [TARGET RATE] or better, with the rate, how much I'd receive with each provider after its listed fees, and how today compares with the last 30 days. Send a short weekly summary every [SUMMARY DAY] even if the target isn't hit. Remind me 5 days before my deadline whatever happens. Don't give investment advice, just the numbers.
What to change

- [SUMMARY DAY]: e.g. "Friday", or write "never".

- Good to know
- • The mid-market rate is the one you see in search results. Most providers add a margin on top, so always compare what you'd receive, not the headline rate.
- • Provider rates on their pages can change by the time you confirm. Check the final amount before you pay.
- • Some people split a large transfer in two parts to avoid all-or-nothing timing.
- Next
- Your deadline is January 15. I'll keep checking weekdays at 9:00 and 16:00, send the weekly summary on Friday, and remind you on January 10 whatever the rate does.
- Reply "stop" when you've converted, or "new target 0.96" to keep waiting.
How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and fill in the currencies, amount, deadline, target and providers.
- Send it in todo.is or message it to your agent on WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Your agent sets up the recurring check and messages you when your target is hit, with the real amounts after fees.
- Make the transfer yourself with your chosen provider, then reply "stop" to end the alerts.
Tips for a better result
- Compare the amount received, not the advertised rate. Hidden margins often cost more than fees.
- Set a deadline reminder. A target that's never hit shouldn't make you miss a payment date.
- Twice a day is plenty for most needs. More checks use more AI credits.
- For large or business payments, ask your bank or provider about rate-locking options.
exchange rate alerts: FAQ
- What is the mid-market exchange rate? It's the midpoint between buy and sell prices on global currency markets, and the rate you usually see in search results. Banks and transfer services typically offer a bit less.
- Can anyone predict exchange rates? No one can reliably predict short-term moves. Alerts help you act when a rate you're happy with appears.
- Does todo.is send the money for me? No. Your agent watches rates and does the math. You make the transfer with your bank or provider.
- Is this financial advice? No. It's rate monitoring and fee comparison. For big decisions, talk to your bank or a financial adviser.
