Find conferences and events worth attending this year
Choosing which conferences to attend is a budget decision, and most event lists do not tell you who goes, what it costs or when speaker applications close. This prompt has your todo.is agent find upcoming conferences, meetups and trade shows in your field, compare them on audience, cost and travel, and flag call-for-speaker deadlines.
The prompt
- Find conferences and events for [YOUR FIELD AND ROLE] happening between [DATE RANGE] in [LOCATIONS]. I want to [YOUR GOAL]. Search official event sites, industry associations, event listing sites and meetup pages. For each event give: name, dates, city or online, who usually attends and roughly how many, ticket cost level (free, under $500, more), notable speakers or sponsors, call-for-speakers deadline if any, and the official link. Rank the top 15 in an Excel file by how well they fit my goal and a budget of [BUDGET]. Add the 3 best to my Google Calendar as all-day events, and remind me 2 weeks before each speaker or early-bird deadline. Don’t buy tickets.
What to change
- [YOUR FIELD AND ROLE]: e.g. "B2B SaaS marketing manager" or "independent veterinary clinic owner".
- [DATE RANGE]: e.g. "January to June 2027".
- [LOCATIONS]: e.g. "Europe or online", "within driving distance of Denver".
- [YOUR GOAL]: e.g. "meet potential customers", "learn about AI in marketing", or "speak to build my profile".
- [BUDGET]: Your total budget for tickets and travel, e.g. "$3,000 for the year".

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and fill in your field, dates, locations, goal and budget.
- Paste it on the Today screen in todo.is. Connect Google if you want calendar entries.
- Your agent sends a ranked Excel list of 15 events and adds the best ones to your calendar.
- Ask follow-ups like "draft a talk proposal for GrowthOps" or "find hotels near the venue".
Tips for a better result
- Decide your goal first. An event for learning and an event for meeting buyers are often not the same.
- Mark speaker deadlines. They close 4 to 6 months before many events.
- Small meetups are cheap and often better for real conversations than huge expos.
- Make it a recurring to-do every quarter so new events and deadlines come to you.
find conferences and events: FAQ
- How do I find industry conferences? Check your industry associations, event listing sites, meetup pages and the speaker or sponsor lists of events you already know. An agent can search all of them and filter by date, place and budget.
- How do I choose which conference to attend? Look at who attends, the agenda, total cost including travel, and whether it fits your goal: learning, hiring, selling or speaking.
- Can it find free or online events? Yes. Add "free or online only" to the prompt and your agent will focus on those.
- Will the agent register or buy tickets for me? No. It gives you the official links and deadlines. You register and pay yourself.
