Internal linking suggestions with the exact sentence to link from
You have dozens of posts that barely link to each other, and your most important pages get almost no internal links. Your todo.is agent crawls your site, maps which pages link where, finds orphan pages and suggests new links, each with the source page, the sentence that should become a link, the anchor text and the target.
The prompt
- Suggest internal links for [YOUR SITE]. Crawl up to [NUMBER OF PAGES] pages from the sitemap and record every internal link and its anchor text. Find orphan pages (no internal links in), pages more than 3 clicks from the homepage, and my key pages that get too few links. My most important pages are [KEY PAGES]. Then suggest new internal links: for each, give the source URL, the exact existing sentence where the link fits, the anchor text (natural, varied, not exact-match every time) and the target URL. Max 3 new links per source page, only where the topic truly matches. Also flag links that point to redirects or 404s. Deliver an Excel file with all suggestions sorted by priority and a short summary of the link structure.
What to change
- [YOUR SITE]: e.g. "brewcraftguide.com".
- [NUMBER OF PAGES]: e.g. "300". For bigger sites, start with one section such as /blog/.
- [KEY PAGES]: 2 to 6 pages that should rank or convert most, e.g. "/beginner-homebrew-kit, /how-to-brew-beer".

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and list your site and its most important pages.
- Paste it into todo.is or send it to your agent on Telegram or Discord.
- Your agent crawls the site, maps all links and writes the suggestion sheet with exact sentences.
- Add the links in your CMS. Ask your agent to run it monthly and only send new suggestions.
Tips for a better result
- Contextual links inside the text count more than menu and footer links for showing what a page is about.
- Vary anchor text naturally. Using the identical keyword every time looks forced to readers.
- Link from your strongest pages (the ones with backlinks and traffic) to the pages you want to lift.
- When you publish a new post, ask your agent which 3 existing pages should link to it.
internal linking suggestions: FAQ
- How many internal links should a page have? There is no fixed number. Add links where they help the reader go deeper, usually a few per 1,000 words, and make sure every important page gets links from related content.
- What is an orphan page? A page with no internal links pointing to it. Search engines and visitors struggle to find it, so it often ranks poorly.
- Can the agent add the links to my WordPress site? It gives you the exact sentences and targets to add yourself. Adding them in your CMS usually takes a few minutes per page.
