Study plan generator: a day-by-day revision schedule to exam day
Knowing what to study is easy; deciding what to study today is the hard part. This prompt has your todo.is agent split your syllabus across the days you have left, revisit weak topics on a spaced schedule, and message you each morning with that day’s tasks.
The prompt
- Make me a study plan for [EXAM OR COURSE] on [EXAM DATE]. Topics: [TOPICS OR ATTACHED SYLLABUS]. I can study [WEEKDAY HOURS] hours on weekdays and [WEEKEND HOURS] hours on weekends, starting [START DATE]. My weakest topics are [WEAK TOPICS]. Spread the topics using spaced repetition, give weak topics more time, add a timed practice test every week, keep the last 3 days for review only, and leave one rest day each week. Give me an Excel calendar and a one-page PDF overview, and send me each day’s tasks every morning at [TIME] on WhatsApp.
What to change
- [EXAM OR COURSE]: E.g. "AP Biology", "my driving theory test", "AWS Cloud Practitioner".
- [EXAM DATE]: The date of the exam, or of the first one if you have several.
- [TOPICS OR ATTACHED SYLLABUS]: List the topics, or attach the syllabus or course outline as a PDF or Word file.
- [WEEKDAY HOURS]: Honest hours after school or work, e.g. 1.5.
- [WEEKEND HOURS]: E.g. 4.
- [START DATE]: When you want to begin, e.g. "tomorrow".
- [WEAK TOPICS]: The ones you scored lowest on or avoid. Write "not sure" and your agent adds a quick self-test first.
- [TIME]: E.g. 7:00. Use Telegram or email instead of WhatsApp if you prefer.

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and fill in the exam, date, topics and the hours you really have.
- Paste it on the Today screen in todo.is, attaching your syllabus if you have one.
- You get an Excel calendar and a PDF overview, and from your start date a short message each morning.
- Reply to the morning message with "done" or "missed it" and your agent reshuffles the rest of the plan.
Tips
- Attach your class notes or past papers and ask your agent to write practice questions from them.
- Ask for flashcards as a CSV file; most flashcard apps can import it.
- Got several exams? List them all with dates and ask for one combined plan.
- Your agent remembers your scores, so "how am I doing?" gets a real answer two weeks in.
FAQ
- What is spaced repetition? Reviewing a topic at growing intervals, for example after 2 days, a week and two weeks. It helps you remember more for the same study time.
- Can it explain topics I don’t understand? Yes. Ask your agent to explain a topic simply, give examples, or quiz you on it in chat.
- What if I fall behind? Tell your agent what you missed and it rebuilds the rest of the plan, keeping the review days before the exam.
- Can I use it for language learning or certifications? Yes. It works for any goal with a date, like a language level test, a professional certification or a driving theory test.
