YouTube title generator that checks what already ranks
A title has to do two jobs: make someone click, and tell YouTube search what the video is about. This prompt has your todo.is agent look at the top videos for your topic first, then write 20 titles in different styles, flag the best keyword, and keep them short enough to show in full on a phone.
The prompt
- Write 20 YouTube title options for my video about [VIDEO TOPIC]. My channel is [CHANNEL NICHE] and my viewers are [WHO WATCHES]. First, search YouTube and the web for the top videos on this topic and tell me the title patterns they use and the main search phrase people type. Then write titles in 5 styles (how-to, number list, curiosity, result or transformation, mistake or warning), 4 each. Keep every title under 60 characters, put the main keyword near the start where it fits naturally, and do not promise anything the video does not deliver: [WHAT THE VIDEO ACTUALLY SHOWS]. Mark your top 3 and suggest 2 to 4 words of thumbnail text for each that does not repeat the title.
What to change
- [VIDEO TOPIC]: What the video is about, e.g. "building a budget gaming PC".
- [CHANNEL NICHE]: e.g. "PC building for beginners" or "vegan meal prep".
- [WHO WATCHES]: e.g. "teens on a budget" or "busy parents".
- [WHAT THE VIDEO ACTUALLY SHOWS]: The honest payoff, e.g. "a full build under a set budget, with benchmarks in 3 games".

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and fill in your topic, niche, audience and what the video really delivers.
- Paste it into todo.is or send it to your agent on Telegram or Discord.
- Your agent searches the topic, shows you what ranks with links, and writes 20 titles plus top picks.
- Pick one, or ask for more in the style you like best, e.g. "10 more curiosity titles".
Tips for a better result
- Keep the important words in the first 40 characters. On phones and in suggested videos, long titles get cut.
- Title and thumbnail should work as a pair: the thumbnail adds what the title leaves out, it does not repeat it.
- Never bait. If the title promises a result, show it early in the video, or viewers leave and the video gets recommended less.
- Send your agent your last 10 titles and their views once, and ask it to remember which styles worked for your channel.
YouTube title generator: FAQ
- How long should a YouTube title be? YouTube allows 100 characters, but around 60 or fewer usually shows in full on most screens. Put the key words first.
- Should I put keywords in my YouTube title? Yes, if it reads naturally. A clear phrase people actually search helps YouTube understand the video, but the title still needs to make humans want to click.
- Can I change a YouTube title after publishing? Yes. Many creators test a new title and thumbnail when a video underperforms in its first days.
- Does todo.is see my YouTube analytics? No, it does not connect to YouTube Studio. You can paste or attach your analytics export and your agent will read it.
