Amazon price tracker that tells you when the deal is real
Amazon prices move several times a week, and a "deal" badge does not always mean a good price. This prompt has your todo.is agent open the Amazon listings you pick each day, note the price, seller and delivery date, and message you only when the price falls under your target from a seller you trust.
The prompt
- Track these Amazon listings for me: [AMAZON PRODUCT LINKS]. Every day at [CHECK TIME], open each listing and note the current price, who sells and ships it (Amazon or a third-party seller), the delivery estimate, and whether a coupon or Subscribe & Save price is shown. If the price from Amazon or a seller rated 4.5 stars or higher drops below [TARGET PRICE], message me on [WHERE TO SEND IT] with the link, the price, the seller and the lowest price you have seen so far. Ignore used and renewed offers unless I say [USED OK OR NOT]. Keep a price log as an Excel file and send it to me every Sunday. Stop when I say I bought it.
What to change
- [AMAZON PRODUCT LINKS]: One or more Amazon product page links, e.g. a robot vacuum and a spare filter pack. Any Amazon country site works.
- [CHECK TIME]: e.g. "8:00". Once a day is plenty; Prime Day or Black Friday weeks may justify twice.
- [TARGET PRICE]: The price you would pay, with currency, e.g. "$249". You can give one per product.
- [WHERE TO SEND IT]: WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord or email.
- [USED OK OR NOT]: Write "used is fine if Like New" or "new only".
Example result
- Amazon price alert · Kestrel R7 robot vacuum
- Now $239 (your target: $249) · sold and shipped by Amazon · arrives Thursday
- Link: amazon.com/dp/B0EXAMPLE7
- This is the lowest price since tracking started 26 days ago. A $15 clip-on coupon is also showing, so the checkout total may be $224. Coupons can disappear, so check the cart.
- Other offers on the same listing
- • Northline Home (third party): $234, rated 3.9 stars, ships in 2 weeks. Skipped: rating is under your 4.5 minimum.
- • Used, Like New (Amazon Resale): $198. Skipped: you asked for new only.
- 26-day price log (lowest new price per day)
- • Sep 12: $289
- • Sep 19: $279 (lightning deal, 6 hours)
- • Sep 26: $269
- • Oct 3: $259
- • Oct 8: $239
- Spare filter pack (second item)
- • Still $24.99, no change. Target $19 not reached.
- Before you buy
- • Check that the color and model number match what you want. This listing groups the R7 and the R7 Plus with a self-empty base.
- • Amazon’s standard return window applies to items sold by Amazon. Third-party sellers can have different return rules.
- • Prices often dip again around big sale events, but nobody can promise that.
- Reply "buy link" for the direct link, or "keep tracking" if you want to wait for a lower price.
How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and paste your Amazon links and target price into the [brackets].
- Send it to your agent on WhatsApp or Telegram, or paste it on the Today screen in todo.is.
- Your agent creates a daily check and keeps a price log in an Excel file.
- You only hear from it when the price is right. Reply "stop" once you have bought the item.
Tips for a better result
- Track the listing, not a search page. Search results change order every day and hide the real seller.
- Set a seller rule. The lowest Amazon price is often a third-party seller with slow shipping or weak ratings.
- Ask your agent to include the coupon and Subscribe & Save price, since the badge price is not always the checkout price.
- For Amazon sale events, add a temporary twice-a-day check that day, then go back to daily.
Amazon price tracker: FAQ
- How do I track an Amazon price drop? Give your agent the product link and a target price, and set a daily check. It opens the listing, reads the price and seller, and messages you when the price goes under your target.
- Does it work on Amazon UK, Germany, Canada or India? Yes. Paste the link from the Amazon site you shop on, and your agent reads the price in that currency.
- Can it see my Prime price or prices for signed-in users? Not in the cloud browser. If a price only shows when you are signed in, connect your own Chrome with the todo.is Connector extension so your agent sees what you see.
- Will my agent buy it automatically when the price drops? No. It messages you with the link, and you buy it yourself.
