An AI honeymoon planner that fits your dates and your pace
The wedding took all your planning energy, and now the honeymoon needs its own research. This prompt has your agent shortlist destinations that suit your month and budget, then build a slow, romantic day-by-day plan with hotel and restaurant links you can book yourselves.
The prompt
- Plan our honeymoon. We can travel from [DATES] and fly from [HOME AIRPORT]. Our total budget is [BUDGET] for two. We like [WHAT WE LIKE] and want to avoid [WHAT TO AVOID]. First suggest 3 destinations that are good in that season, with weather, flight time and why each fits us. Then for the one I pick ([DESTINATION OR "YOU CHOOSE"]), make a relaxed day-by-day plan: no more than 2 activities a day, late breakfasts, one special dinner and one surprise idea. Suggest 2 hotels or villas with links and note which ones mention honeymoon perks. Give me a PDF and email it to me. Do not book anything.
What to change
- [DATES]: Start and end dates, e.g. "June 14 to June 24". Give a range if you are still flexible.
- [HOME AIRPORT]: The city or airport you leave from, e.g. "Chicago O'Hare" or "Manchester".
- [BUDGET]: Total for both of you with currency, e.g. "$8,000 including flights". Say if flights are already paid.
- [WHAT WE LIKE]: E.g. "beaches, snorkeling, good food, one adventure day" or "wine, old towns, spa".
- [WHAT TO AVOID]: E.g. "long layovers, big party resorts, early starts, rainy season".
- [DESTINATION OR "YOU CHOOSE"]: Name a place like "Santorini" or "Bali", or write "you choose" and the agent picks the best fit.
Example result
- Honeymoon for Maya and Leo, 10 days in September
- From Toronto · about $9,000 for two · loves food, swimming and quiet evenings
- 3 destination ideas
- • Amalfi Coast, Italy: warm sea in September, fewer crowds than August. Long flight with one connection.
- • Santorini and Naxos, Greece: sunsets plus a calmer second island. Ferry between them.
- • Azores, Portugal: green, cool, whale watching and hot springs. Short flight, less beach time.
- Picked: Amalfi Coast, staying in two bases so you only pack up once.
- Days 1–2: arrive and slow down in Sorrento
- • Land in Naples, private transfer or train plus bus to Sorrento
- • Evening walk to the cliff-top gardens, gelato, early night
- • Day 2: lazy morning, boat to Capri, swim stop, back for dinner
- Days 3–6: Positano and Praiano
- • Hotel with a sea-view terrace for the honeymoon "wow" moment
- • Day 3: beach day at a small cove, sunset aperitivo
- • Day 4: Path of the Gods walk, early before the heat, long lunch after
- • Day 5: day off. Spa or pool, nothing planned
- • Day 6: special dinner on a terrace above the sea; reserve weeks ahead
- Days 7–9: Ravello and Amalfi town
- • Day 7: Villa Cimbrone gardens, then a cooking class with lunch
- • Day 8: boat along the coast to a grotto, swim, lemon granita in Amalfi
- • Day 9: surprise idea: a sunset private boat or a short photo session on the coast road
- Day 10: home
- • Transfer to Naples, about 2 hours with traffic
- Hotels to look at
- • A small family hotel in Praiano: calmer than Positano, same views
- • A garden hotel in Ravello: quiet, romantic, good for the last nights
- • Tell them it is your honeymoon when you book; many hotels add a small extra
- Good to know
- • Coast roads are slow; do not plan two places in one afternoon
- • Ferries depend on the sea; keep day 10 free of boats
- • Check prices and availability on the official sites before you book
How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and fill in your dates, airport, budget and what you both enjoy.
- Paste it on the Today screen in todo.is, or send it to your agent on WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Pick one of the 3 destinations, or let the agent choose, and get the full plan as a PDF by email.
- Ask for changes like "fewer hotel moves" or "add a spa day", then book the links you like.
Tips for a better result
- Book flights and the first hotel first. Activities can wait, the best sea-view rooms sell out early.
- Plan fewer things than you think. Most couples remember the slow days best.
- Tell the agent about the wedding date so day 1 starts with rest, not a 6:00 tour.
- Ask for a second version that is 20% cheaper if the first plan runs over budget.
honeymoon planner: FAQ
- When should we start planning a honeymoon? Six to nine months ahead is comfortable for popular places, especially in high season. Last-minute is possible, but choice of rooms is smaller.
- How long is a typical honeymoon? Many couples take 7 to 14 days. With long flights, aim for at least 9 or 10 days so jet lag does not eat the trip.
- Can the agent plan a surprise honeymoon for my partner? Yes. Send the to-do from your own account and the plan stays in your agent workspace. Ask it to email only you.
- Does todo.is book the hotels and flights? No. Your agent finds options and gives you links, and you book them yourselves. It never pays or books anything.
