AI restaurant finder: the right table for tonight
Map apps show you the same busy places, and reading reviews for each one takes ages. This prompt has your todo.is agent check reviews, menus and opening hours, then give you five ranked options with what to order, an honest downside and how to book.
The prompt
- Find 5 restaurants near [AREA OR ADDRESS] for [DAY AND TIME], for [NUMBER OF PEOPLE]. We want [CUISINE OR MOOD], around [PRICE PER PERSON] per person, and we need [MUST-HAVES]. Check recent reviews, menus and that they’re open at that time. For each place give the address with a maps link, the price range, 2 dishes people recommend, how to book (online link or phone), walking time from there, and one honest downside from the reviews. Rank them and tell me your top pick in one line.
What to change
- [AREA OR ADDRESS]: A neighbourhood, hotel or street. Walking times are measured from here.
- [DAY AND TIME]: E.g. "Saturday at 20:00". Some places close on certain days.
- [NUMBER OF PEOPLE]: E.g. "4 adults" or "2 adults and a baby".
- [CUISINE OR MOOD]: E.g. "good Thai", "romantic and quiet", "lively, good for a birthday".
- [PRICE PER PERSON]: An amount and currency, without drinks.
- [MUST-HAVES]: E.g. "vegan options", "outdoor seating", "step-free access", "takes reservations".

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and fill in where, when, who and what you feel like eating.
- Send it to your agent on WhatsApp or Telegram when you’re out, or paste it in todo.is.
- Your agent replies with 5 ranked restaurants, dishes to try and booking links.
- Book the one you like yourself, then ask "add it to my calendar" if Google is connected.
Tips
- Send a voice note on WhatsApp instead of typing; your agent understands it.
- Tell your agent your usual dislikes once ("no chains, no very loud places") and it remembers them.
- For a trip, ask for one dinner pick per night near each day’s plan.
- Ask "anything new that opened in the last few months?" to get past the usual tourist list.
FAQ
- Can todo.is book the table for me? No. It gives you the booking link or phone number and you book yourself. It never makes reservations or pays on your behalf.
- Where do the reviews come from? Your agent searches the web and reads public review pages and articles, and includes source links so you can check them.
- Does it know if a place is open right now? It checks the opening hours listed online, but hours change on holidays. Call or check the restaurant’s own page if you’re not sure.
- Can it handle allergies? It can look for places that mention allergy-friendly menus, but always tell the restaurant about serious allergies when you book.
