A wholesale price list and line sheet built from your costs
A boutique asked for your wholesale prices and you don't have a sheet yet. Attach your product list with costs and your agent works out wholesale prices that protect your margin, adds minimums and volume tiers, and lays it all out as a clean PDF line sheet you can email to stores.
The prompt
- Create a wholesale price list from my product file [PRODUCT FILE] (names, SKUs, retail prices and unit costs). Set wholesale at about [WHOLESALE PERCENT] of retail, and warn me about any product where wholesale margin drops below [MINIMUM MARGIN]. Add a minimum order of [MINIMUM ORDER], a volume tier with an extra 5% off above double that amount, and case packs where it makes sense. Include terms: payment [PAYMENT TERMS], lead time, shipping, and a suggested retail price column. Deliver an Excel file I can edit and a 2-page PDF line sheet with my logo [LOGO FILE], product photos from the file, and my contact details.
What to change
- [PRODUCT FILE]: Attach your product list as Excel or CSV with retail price and cost, plus image links if you have them.
- [WHOLESALE PERCENT]: Common is "50%" (keystone). Some brands use 45-55%.
- [MINIMUM MARGIN]: The lowest margin you accept, e.g. "40%".
- [MINIMUM ORDER]: Opening order minimum, e.g. "$250" or "12 units".
- [PAYMENT TERMS]: e.g. "upfront for first orders, net 30 after".
- [LOGO FILE]: Attach your logo as PNG or SVG, or write "no logo".

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt, attach your product file and logo, and set your percentages, minimums and terms.
- Paste it into todo.is, or send it to your agent on Telegram or by email with the files.
- Your agent calculates prices, flags weak margins and sends an Excel file plus a PDF line sheet.
- Ask for edits like "round wholesale prices to .50" or "make a version in euros", then email the PDF to buyers.
Tips for a better result
- Check your landed cost (product, packaging, labor, shipping in) before setting wholesale. Many makers forget packaging.
- Don't sell below your suggested retail on your own site. Stores stop reordering when you undercut them.
- Keep the line sheet to one or two pages with clear photos. Buyers skim dozens of them.
- Ask your agent to remember your terms, so new products get added to the sheet in the same format.
wholesale price list: FAQ
- How do I calculate wholesale price? A common rule is keystone: wholesale is half the retail price, so the store doubles it. Make sure your wholesale price is still well above your full cost per unit.
- What is a line sheet? A line sheet is a short catalog for stores, with product photos, SKUs, wholesale prices, suggested retail, minimums and order terms. Buyers use it to place orders.
- What minimum order should I set for wholesale? Many small brands use $150-300 for an opening order, or a number of units per product. It should cover your packing and shipping effort.
- Can I send the price list to shops from todo.is? Yes. Your agent can write the pitch email and save it as a Gmail draft with the PDF attached. It asks for your OK before sending.
