Your 30-60-90 day plan, built for the actual role
The hiring manager asked you to bring a 30-60-90 day plan to the final interview, or you start a new job on Monday. This prompt has your todo.is agent research the company, read the job description and turn it into a three-phase plan with goals, actions and measurable results, as a document or slides.
The prompt
- Create a 30-60-90 day plan for my new role as [JOB TITLE] at [COMPANY NAME OR WEBSITE]. Here is the job description: [JOB POSTING LINK OR PASTED TEXT]. About me: [YOUR BACKGROUND IN 2-3 LINES]. Research the company (products, customers, recent news). For each phase (days 1-30 learn, 31-60 contribute, 61-90 lead) give 3 goals, the concrete actions behind them, the people I should meet, and how success will be measured. Add 3 smart questions to ask my manager. Deliver it as [WORD DOCUMENT OR 5-SLIDE POWERPOINT].
What to change
- [JOB TITLE]: e.g. "Account Executive", "Engineering Manager", "Charge Nurse".
- [COMPANY NAME OR WEBSITE]: Your agent searches the web for the company's products, customers and news.
- [JOB POSTING LINK OR PASTED TEXT]: The job ad link, or paste the description. Notes from your interviews help a lot too.
- [YOUR BACKGROUND IN 2-3 LINES]: e.g. "5 years selling HR software to mid-size firms, top 10% of quota".
- [WORD DOCUMENT OR 5-SLIDE POWERPOINT]: Slides work well for presenting in an interview; a document for your first week.

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and replace each [bracket] with the role, company and your background.
- Paste it into todo.is (Today screen) or send it to your agent on WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Your agent researches the company with sources and sends a Word file or PowerPoint deck.
- Ask for edits such as "make the metrics more conservative" or "add a slide on my first week".
Tips for a better result
- Keep phase one about listening. Proposing big changes in week two looks like you didn't learn the context.
- Give every goal a measurable result, but mark numbers as targets to agree with your manager.
- Name the people you'll meet. It shows you understand how the work gets done.
- Bring it to the final interview even if nobody asked; it makes the conversation concrete.
- Revisit the plan at day 30 with your manager and update it.
30-60-90 day plan: FAQ
- What is a 30-60-90 day plan? A short plan for your first three months in a job, split into learning (first 30 days), contributing (30 to 60) and leading or optimizing (60 to 90), with goals and measures for each.
- Should I bring a 30-60-90 day plan to an interview? For final rounds, especially in sales, management and senior roles, it's a strong move. Keep it to one page or about five slides.
- How detailed should it be? Three to five goals per phase with concrete actions and how you'll measure them. Too much detail before you've started can look like guesswork.
- Does it work for non-office jobs? Yes. Nurses, teachers and store managers use it too; the goals change to things like unit protocols, classroom routines or store KPIs.
