Concert and ticket alerts the day your artists announce a show
Tours are announced with little warning, presales sell out in minutes, and you find out a week later. This prompt has your todo.is agent check your artists' official pages and ticket sites every day, and message you the moment a show near you is announced, with the presale and general sale times in your time zone and the official links.
The prompt
- Every day at [TIME] ([TIME ZONE]), check for new concert dates for these artists: [ARTISTS]. Look at each artist's official website and tour page, the official ticket sellers and venue pages. Alert me on [WHERE TO SEND IT] when they announce a show within [DISTANCE] of [MY CITY], or in [OTHER CITIES I WOULD TRAVEL TO]. For each show: date, venue, presale dates and times and how to get a presale code, general on-sale time, the official ticket link, and a reminder 30 minutes before each sale starts. Warn me if a link is a resale site, not the official seller. Send nothing on days with no news. Never buy tickets.
What to change
- [TIME]: Morning is best, e.g. 9:00, as many tours are announced overnight.
- [TIME ZONE]: Your time zone, e.g. "Europe/Stockholm", so sale times are converted.
- [ARTISTS]: Artists, bands or comedians, e.g. "The Lanterns, Mira Solé, a local band at their site link".
- [WHERE TO SEND IT]: WhatsApp or Telegram is fastest for sale reminders. Email works too.
- [DISTANCE]: E.g. "100 km" or "2 hours by train".
- [MY CITY]: E.g. "Stockholm".
- [OTHER CITIES I WOULD TRAVEL TO]: E.g. "Copenhagen or Oslo", or "nowhere else".

- • Mira Solé, Harbour Lights, Dusk Parade: no new dates near you

- Tips for sale day
- • Log in to the ticket seller and save your card details the day before
- • Use one device and one tab; several tabs can get you flagged
- • Have a second-choice date or section in mind
How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and list your artists, your city and how far you would travel.
- Paste it on the Today screen in todo.is or send it to your agent on WhatsApp.
- Your agent checks official pages every day and alerts you only when there is a new show near you.
- You get reminders before each sale; buy the tickets yourself on the official site.
Tips for a better result
- Sign up to the artist's and venue's newsletters. Many presale codes only go out by email, and your agent can watch Gmail for them if Google is connected.
- Add festivals as "artists" too: their line-up announcements are where many acts first show up.
- Ask it to tell you when a sold-out show adds a second date, which often happens within a week.
- Ask for the official resale or ticket exchange page for sold-out shows, so you avoid inflated prices.
concert and ticket alerts: FAQ
- Can it buy concert tickets for me? No. It finds the dates, presale details and official links and reminds you before the sale. You buy the tickets yourself.
- How do I get presale codes? Usually by signing up on the artist's site, the venue's newsletter or a card or fan club offer. Your agent tells you where the code comes from for each show.
- How fast will I hear about a new tour date? At your next check. Daily is enough for most announcements, since sales usually start a few days later. Add a second check per day if you want to be first.
