New job posting alerts from the companies you actually want
Job boards are slow and noisy, and many roles show up on company career pages days before anywhere else. This prompt has your todo.is agent watch the career pages of your target companies, spot roles that were not there yesterday, compare each one to your profile and message you the good ones with a short fit note.
The prompt
- Every day at [TIME] ([TIME ZONE]), check the career pages of these companies for new job postings: [TARGET COMPANIES]. I am looking for [ROLES] roles at [SENIORITY] level, located in [LOCATION OR REMOTE]. Compare today's openings with yesterday's and only report new ones. For each new match, send me on [WHERE TO SEND IT]: job title, team, location, the link, the posting date if shown, and a fit score from 1 to 5 based on my resume (attached), with 2 reasons. Ignore roles needing [DEALBREAKERS]. If nothing is new, send nothing. On Fridays, send a short list of every role you saw this week, with whether it is still open.
What to change
- [TIME]: Early morning is good, e.g. 7:30, so you can apply on the first day.
- [TIME ZONE]: Your time zone, e.g. "Europe/Dublin".
- [TARGET COMPANIES]: 5 to 30 names or career page links, e.g. "Stripe, Monzo, Wise, a local startup at careers.example.com".
- [ROLES]: Job titles you would apply for, e.g. "product designer, UX designer, design systems".
- [SENIORITY]: E.g. "mid or senior", "entry level", "lead".
- [LOCATION OR REMOTE]: E.g. "Dublin or remote in Europe" or "anywhere in Canada".
- [WHERE TO SEND IT]: WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord or email.
- [DEALBREAKERS]: E.g. "relocation to the US", "more than 2 days a week in the office", "German required".

- 1. Senior Product Designer · Fernlight · fit 5/5

- 3. Design Systems Lead · Taskra · fit 3/5
- • Team: Platform · Location: Dublin office, 4 days
- • Why it fits: you built and maintained a component library

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt, list your target companies and roles, and attach your resume.
- Paste it into todo.is on the Today screen or send it to your agent on WhatsApp with the resume attached.
- Your agent saves your profile, checks the career pages every day and messages you only about new matching roles.
- Reply to tailor a resume, research a company or add more companies to the list.
Tips for a better result
- Use direct career page links where you can. Many companies list jobs on a hiring platform page that is easier to check than the main site.
- Keep a list of 15 to 30 companies. More than that and the daily check gets slow and pricier in credits.
- Ask for a "first seen" date. Some sites show old posting dates, and applying in the first days often matters.
- Pair this with broad job board searches for roles at companies you have not heard of yet.
new job posting alerts: FAQ
- Why watch company career pages instead of job boards? Roles often appear on the company site first, and some never reach the big boards. Watching the source also avoids reposted and expired ads.
- Will the agent apply to jobs for me? No. It finds and scores roles and can tailor your resume or draft a cover letter, but you send every application yourself.
- Can it check career pages that need a login? Most career pages are public. For ones behind a login, you can connect your own Chrome with the todo.is Connector so the agent can use your session.
