JPG to PDF converter for phone photos of documents
A landlord, school or insurer wants one PDF, and all you have are six phone photos of the pages, some sideways. Send them to your todo.is agent and it rotates, crops and orders the JPGs, puts one per page and gives you a single PDF small enough to upload.
The prompt
- Combine the attached JPG photos into one PDF: [ATTACH THE JPG FILES]. Order: [PAGE ORDER]. Rotate any sideways photo, crop away the table or background around each page, and fit each image on its own [PAGE SIZE] page with a small margin. Keep text readable but keep the whole PDF under [SIZE LIMIT]. Make the text searchable with OCR. Name it [FILE NAME].pdf and tell me the page count and file size.
What to change
- [ATTACH THE JPG FILES]: Attach the photos (JPG or JPEG). You can send them as WhatsApp or Telegram photos too, but sending as files keeps full quality.
- [PAGE ORDER]: E.g. "the order I sent them", "by the page number written on each sheet" or "oldest photo first".
- [PAGE SIZE]: E.g. "A4", "US Letter" or "same size as each photo".
- [SIZE LIMIT]: E.g. "5 MB" for most upload forms, or "no limit".
- [FILE NAME]: E.g. "Tenancy_Documents_Rossi".
Example result
- JPG to PDF: tenancy documents
- 6 JPG photos in · 1 PDF out · 6 pages · A4 · 2.1 MB
- Page order
- • Page 1: IMG_4471.jpg, payslip September
- • Page 2: IMG_4472.jpg, payslip August (was upside down, rotated 180°)
- • Page 3: IMG_4475.jpg, employer letter (was sideways, rotated 90°)
- • Page 4: IMG_4476.jpg, bank statement page 1
- • Page 5: IMG_4477.jpg, bank statement page 2
- • Page 6: IMG_4480.jpg, ID card front and back
- What your agent did to each photo
- • Cropped away the kitchen table around the paper
- • Lightened shadows from the phone so the text is easier to read
- • Resized each photo to fit A4 with a 1 cm margin, keeping the proportions
- • Saved at 150 dpi with JPG quality 85: clear on screen and when printed, without a huge file
- Searchable text
- OCR was added as an invisible text layer, so the landlord can search for "net pay" or copy the IBAN. The page images do not change.
- Before you send it
- • Black out anything the recipient does not need, like full account numbers. Ask your agent to cover them with black boxes
- • Original photos stay unchanged in your workspace if you need a different order later
How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt, then fill in the order, page size and size limit.
- Attach the photos in todo.is, or send them as files to your agent on WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Your agent fixes rotation and crops, builds the PDF and checks the file size.
- Ask for changes like "swap pages 4 and 5" or "black out the account number on page 4".
Tips for a better result
- Photograph each page flat, from straight above, in daylight. Cropping and OCR work much better without a strong angle or shadow.
- WhatsApp compresses photos. Send them as documents instead if small print must stay sharp.
- Many upload portals cap files at 2 to 10 MB. Always give the limit; your agent compresses only as much as needed.
- Ask for the OCR text layer. It makes the PDF searchable, which recipients processing documents appreciate.
JPG to PDF converter: FAQ
- How do I combine several JPGs into one PDF? Attach all the JPGs and say the order. Your agent puts one image per page and sends you a single PDF.
- Will converting JPG to PDF lower the quality? Only if you ask for a small file. Your agent keeps the original quality unless a size limit means compressing the images.
- Can the PDF be searchable? Yes. Your agent adds an OCR text layer, so the text can be searched and copied. Check numbers on blurry photos.
- Can I use photos sent on WhatsApp? Yes. Photos sent as images are compressed by WhatsApp, so for small print send them as documents.
