PDF to JPG converter: every page as a sharp image
You need a PDF page as a picture: a flyer to post, a certificate to upload to a form that only takes images, or page previews for a website. Your todo.is agent renders the pages you choose as JPG files at the resolution you need and names them in order.
The prompt
- Convert [WHICH PAGES] of the attached PDF to JPG images: [ATTACH THE PDF]. Render at [RESOLUTION] with quality 90 and a white background. Name the files [NAME PATTERN]. [EXTRA OPTIONS]. If there are more than 5 images, put them in a ZIP. Tell me the pixel size and file size of each image.
What to change
- [WHICH PAGES]: E.g. "all pages", "page 1 only" or "pages 2, 5 and 8".
- [ATTACH THE PDF]: Attach the PDF (up to 50 MB).
- [RESOLUTION]: E.g. "150 dpi for screens", "300 dpi for print" or "1080 px wide for Instagram".
- [NAME PATTERN]: E.g. "Menu_page_01.jpg, Menu_page_02.jpg…" or "same as the PDF name".
- [EXTRA OPTIONS]: E.g. "crop the white margins", "keep under 1 MB each for an upload form" or "none".
Example result
- PDF to JPG: Spring_Menu.pdf
- 12 pages · 12 JPG files · 200 dpi · quality 90 · ZIP 9.6 MB
- Files
- • Spring_Menu_01.jpg · 1654 × 2339 px · 820 KB (cover)
- • Spring_Menu_02.jpg · 1654 × 2339 px · 760 KB
- • …
- • Spring_Menu_12.jpg · 1654 × 2339 px · 640 KB (back page)
- How they were made
- • Each page was rendered with PyMuPDF at 200 dpi, sharp enough to zoom on a phone and to print at A5
- • Transparent areas were filled with white, so nothing turns black in apps that do not support transparency
- • White margins were cropped to 2% so the menu fills the frame
- Choosing a resolution
- • 72 to 100 dpi: small previews and thumbnails
- • 150 dpi: screens, email, websites
- • 200 dpi: phone zooming, small prints
- • 300 dpi: printing at full page size
- Want a different format?
- • For sharp text and line art, PNG avoids JPG blur around letters
- • For Instagram, ask for 1080 × 1350 px crops of pages 1 and 5
- • Ask for "one long image" to stack all pages into a single tall JPG
How to do it with todo.is
- Choose the pages, resolution and file names in the prompt.
- Attach the PDF in todo.is or send it to your agent on WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Your agent renders each page and sends the JPGs, or a ZIP if there are many.
- Reply with changes like "page 3 at 300 dpi" or "make them square for Instagram".
Tips for a better result
- For pages that are mostly text, PNG keeps letters crisper. JPG is best for photos and colourful designs.
- Upload forms often have a size limit. Say "under 500 KB each" and your agent lowers quality just enough.
- Need only the photos inside the PDF, not whole pages? Ask to extract the embedded images instead; you get them at their original quality.
- 300 dpi files of a 50-page PDF get big. Ask only for the pages you need.
PDF to JPG converter: FAQ
- What resolution should I use to convert a PDF to JPG? 150 dpi is fine for screens and email, and 300 dpi is the usual choice for printing. Your agent tells you the pixel size it produced.
- Can I convert just one page of a PDF to JPG? Yes. Name the page number and you get one image.
- Why does text look blurry in my JPG? JPG compression softens sharp edges. Use a higher resolution, quality 95, or PNG for text-heavy pages.
- Can I turn the images back into a PDF later? Yes. Send the JPGs to your agent and ask for one PDF in the order you want.
