PDF to PowerPoint converter that rebuilds editable slides
Someone sent you their deck as a PDF and you need to reuse it, update the numbers or present it with your own notes. Your todo.is agent rebuilds each page as a PowerPoint slide with editable text and separate images, or makes a quick image-based version if you only need to present it.
The prompt
- Turn the attached PDF into a PowerPoint deck: [ATTACH THE PDF]. Mode: [EDITABLE OR IMAGE]. Make one slide per page in 16:9, with the page title as the slide title, body text in editable text boxes and photos and charts as separate images. Use [FONT] for the text. Put the full text of each page in the speaker notes so I can read along. Then list the slides where the layout needed a compromise. Give me [FILE NAME].pptx.
What to change
- [ATTACH THE PDF]: Attach the PDF, for example a deck someone exported, a brochure or a report you want to present.
- [EDITABLE OR IMAGE]: E.g. "editable" (text you can change) or "image slides" (looks identical, text not editable).
- [FONT]: E.g. "Arial", "Montserrat" or "closest match to the PDF".
- [FILE NAME]: E.g. "Investor_Deck_2026_editable".
Example result
- PDF to PowerPoint: Investor_Deck_2026.pdf
- 18 pages → 18 slides · 16:9 · editable mode · 6.8 MB
- How the slides were rebuilt
- • Titles: each page heading became the slide title placeholder, so the outline view and slide navigation work
- • Body text: bullet lists became real PowerPoint bullets; paragraphs became text boxes you can edit and restyle
- • Images: 14 photos and the logo were extracted at their original resolution and placed where they were on the page
- • Charts: 5 charts came in as images. To edit the numbers, ask your agent to rebuild them as PowerPoint charts from the values on the page
- • Speaker notes: the full text of every page is in the notes
- Slides to check
- • Slide 6 (Market size): text sat on top of a photo in the PDF. The text is now editable, but the photo has the old text baked in, so your agent placed a plain shape behind the new text
- • Slide 12 (Team): 8 small portraits plus names. Name boxes were aligned in a grid; check spelling of names
- Fonts
- The PDF used a paid font that is not available, so Montserrat is used instead. Line breaks may differ slightly on slides 3 and 9.
- Quick version too
- An image-only copy (Investor_Deck_2026_images.pptx) looks exactly like the PDF. Use it if you only need to present, not edit.
How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and choose editable or image slides.
- Attach the PDF in todo.is, or send it to your agent on WhatsApp, Telegram or Slack.
- Your agent rebuilds the deck slide by slide and tells you which slides to check.
- Ask for edits on top: "update slide 4 with these numbers" or "apply our brand colours".
Tips for a better result
- Pick "image slides" when you just need to present someone else's PDF in PowerPoint. It looks identical and takes seconds.
- Charts in a PDF are usually flat images. If you need to change the data, ask your agent to recreate the chart from the numbers.
- Attach your company template (.potx or .pptx) and ask for the content on your template instead.
- Text baked into photos cannot be edited. Your agent can cover and retype it, but check those slides.
PDF to PowerPoint converter: FAQ
- Can I edit the text after converting a PDF to PowerPoint? Yes, in editable mode titles and text become normal PowerPoint text boxes. Text that is part of an image in the PDF stays an image unless your agent retypes it.
- Will the slides look exactly like the PDF? Image mode looks identical. Editable mode is close, but fonts and spacing may differ a little on complex pages.
- Can it convert a PDF to Google Slides? You get a .pptx file, which you can open in Google Slides directly.
- How large a PDF can I upload? Uploads can be up to 50 MB each. For a very long PDF, ask for the pages you need.
