SEO keyword research done by an agent that reads the results
Keyword tools give you long lists of numbers but not what to write. This prompt has your todo.is agent search your topic, read what ranks, group keywords by intent and tell you which pages you could realistically win, all in one spreadsheet.
The prompt
- Do SEO keyword research for [WEBSITE LINK], a site that sells [WHAT YOU SELL] to [TARGET CUSTOMERS] in [COUNTRY OR LANGUAGE]. Start from these seed topics: [SEED TOPICS]. Search the web, look at Google autocomplete-style variations, "People also ask" questions and the pages that rank now, and check what our site already covers. Give me an Excel file with 40 keyword ideas grouped into topic clusters, with search intent (informational, commercial, transactional), who ranks now, how hard it looks for a small site, and a suggested page title. Finish with my top 5 keywords to write about first and why.
What to change
- [WEBSITE LINK]: Your homepage. Your agent reads it to see what you already cover.
- [WHAT YOU SELL]: e.g. "online Spanish lessons" or "eco-friendly cleaning products".
- [TARGET CUSTOMERS]: Who buys from you, e.g. "adult beginners", "office managers".
- [COUNTRY OR LANGUAGE]: The market you target, e.g. "the US, English" or "France, French".
- [SEED TOPICS]: 3 to 5 broad topics, comma separated, e.g. "learn spanish fast, spanish for travel, spanish grammar".

- • learn spanish in 3 months · Matches your 12-week program.
- • spanish phrases for travel · Bigger, but your audio is an edge.

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and replace the [brackets] with your site, market and seed topics.
- Paste it on the todo.is Today screen, or message it to your agent from WhatsApp or Slack.
- Your agent searches, reads the ranking pages and your site, then sends you an Excel keyword plan.
- Follow up with "write the first post" and your agent picks up from the plan.
Tips
- Paste your Google Search Console queries (or attach the CSV export) so your agent builds on real data from your own site.
- Make it a monthly recurring to-do to find new questions people ask in your niche.
- Ask for competitor sites to be included: "also check what [competitor] ranks for in this topic".
- Pick keywords where small blogs and forums rank. Those are the ones a newer site can win.
FAQ
- Does it give exact search volumes? No. Your agent reads real search results and pages, so it judges intent and competition, but it doesn’t have access to paid keyword databases. Check volumes in Google Search Console or a keyword tool you use.
- What is search intent? It’s what the searcher wants: to learn something (informational), compare options (commercial) or buy (transactional). Matching the intent is often what decides whether a page ranks.
- Can I do keyword research for a local business? Yes. Add your city to the prompt and your agent looks for local searches like "near me" and city-name phrases.
- What file do I get? An Excel (.xlsx) file with one row per keyword and columns for cluster, intent, who ranks, difficulty and suggested title. Ask for CSV if you want to import it elsewhere.
