App Store description, subtitle and keywords that fit the limits
Most people decide in a few seconds on your App Store page, and they rarely tap "more". Apple also gives you strict fields: a 30-character name and subtitle and a 100-character keyword field. This prompt has your todo.is agent study competing apps and their reviews, then fill every field, plus a Google Play version.
The prompt
- Write App Store copy for my app [APP NAME], which [WHAT THE APP DOES] for [TARGET USERS]. Main features: [KEY FEATURES]. Search the App Store and the web for 5 competing apps, read their names, subtitles, descriptions and recent reviews, and note what users love and complain about. Then write: an app name under 30 characters, a subtitle under 30 characters, promotional text under 170 characters, a description under 4,000 characters whose first 3 lines work alone, a keyword field under 100 characters (comma-separated, no spaces, no words already in the name or subtitle), and "What's New" text for [VERSION NOTES]. Also write a Google Play short description under 80 characters and an adapted full description. Show character counts. Save as a Word file.
What to change
- [APP NAME]: Your app's name, e.g. "Pocket Plants".
- [WHAT THE APP DOES]: In one line, e.g. "reminds you to water each plant and diagnoses problems from a photo".
- [TARGET USERS]: e.g. "beginner plant owners in apartments".
- [KEY FEATURES]: 4 to 8 features, comma separated.
- [VERSION NOTES]: What changed in this release, or "first release".

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and add your app details and version notes.
- Paste it into todo.is or message it to your agent on Slack.
- Your agent studies competing apps and writes every store field with character counts.
- Paste it into App Store Connect and Google Play Console, and ask for more variants to test.
Tips for a better result
- Write the first three lines of the description so they work alone. That is all most people see.
- Do not repeat words across the name, subtitle and keyword field; each word only needs to appear once.
- Use promotional text for news and seasonal messages. You can change it without a new app release.
- Turn competitor complaints into your strengths, but only for features your app truly has.
