PDF to PNG converter for sharp pages and transparent graphics
Logos, charts and slides are often only available inside a PDF. When you need them as images with crisp edges, or a logo without the white box around it, PNG is the right format. Your todo.is agent renders the pages you choose at high resolution and can drop the white background.
The prompt
- Convert the attached PDF to PNG images: [ATTACH THE PDF]. Pages: [WHICH PAGES]. Render at [DPI]. Background: [BACKGROUND]. [CROP]. Name the files [NAME PATTERN] and tell me the pixel size of each. If it is more than 5 files, zip them.
What to change
- [ATTACH THE PDF]: Attach the PDF, e.g. a brand guide, a vector logo saved as PDF, or slides.
- [WHICH PAGES]: E.g. "all", "page 3" or "1 to 4".
- [DPI]: E.g. "300 dpi" for print, "600 dpi" for a large logo, or "2000 px wide".
- [BACKGROUND]: E.g. "transparent" (removes the white page) or "white".
- [CROP]: E.g. "crop tightly to the logo", "crop to the chart on page 3" or "keep the full page".
- [NAME PATTERN]: E.g. "Northfield_logo.png" or "Report_p01.png…".
Example result
- PDF to PNG: Northfield brand guide
- Pages 2, 6, 7, 8 and 9 · 5 PNG files · lossless
- Files
- • Northfield_logo_transparent.png · page 2 · 600 dpi · 3200 × 1100 px · transparent background, cropped tightly
- • Northfield_colours.png · page 6 · 300 dpi · 2480 × 3508 px · white
- • Northfield_chart_revenue.png · page 7 · 300 dpi · cropped to the chart, 2100 × 1300 px
- • Northfield_chart_regions.png · page 8 · 300 dpi · 2100 × 1300 px
- • Northfield_icons.png · page 9 · 300 dpi · transparent
- How the transparent logo was made
- The logo in this PDF is vector artwork on a white page, so your agent rendered the page with an alpha channel instead of filling it white. Edges stay smooth because there is no white box to cut out afterwards.
- If a PDF only contains a photo of a logo, transparency needs a background removal step instead, and edges may need a check.
- PNG or JPG?
- • PNG: logos, icons, charts, text, anything with sharp edges or transparency
- • JPG: photos, where a smaller file matters more than pixel-perfect edges
- Sizes for common uses
- • Website header logo: 600 to 1200 px wide
- • Slides: 1920 px wide
- • Print at 10 cm wide: about 1200 px (300 dpi)
How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and set pages, resolution, background and crop.
- Attach the PDF in todo.is or forward it to your agent on WhatsApp or by email.
- Your agent renders each page to PNG and crops or removes the background as asked.
- Ask for other sizes, like "a 512 px square icon" or "a white version for dark backgrounds".
Tips for a better result
- Ask for 600 dpi when you need a logo for large print. PDF vector art can be rendered at any size without losing sharpness.
- Transparent backgrounds only work cleanly when the PDF artwork is vector. Your agent tells you if the page is a flat image.
- Cropping to one chart or logo gives a much more useful image than a full page with margins.
- High dpi PNGs of full pages are large. Use 150 dpi for page previews on a website.
PDF to PNG converter: FAQ
- How do I get a PDF page as a PNG with a transparent background? Ask for "transparent". If the content is vector, your agent renders it without the white page, so only the artwork remains.
- What dpi should I use for PDF to PNG? Use 150 dpi for screens, 300 dpi for print and 600 dpi when you need to enlarge a logo or small detail.
- Why is PNG bigger than JPG? PNG is lossless, so it keeps every pixel. That makes it larger for photos but perfect for text, logos and charts.
- Can I convert only part of a page? Yes. Describe the area, like "the chart at the top of page 7", and your agent crops to it.
