Subscription renewal reminders before the charge hits
Free trials that quietly turn paid and yearly plans you forgot about are easy money lost. This prompt has your todo.is agent pull your subscriptions from your list or your Gmail receipts, then remind you a few days before each renewal or trial end, with the price and a link to cancel if you want out.
The prompt
- Track my subscriptions and remind me before each one renews. Start from [MY SUBSCRIPTIONS OR "SEARCH MY GMAIL"]. For each one, note the service, price, billing cycle, next renewal date and how to cancel (with the link to the cancel page). Remind me on [WHERE TO SEND] [DAYS BEFORE] before every monthly renewal and [DAYS BEFORE YEARLY] before yearly renewals and free trial ends. Ask me "keep or cancel?" in each reminder. Send me the full list as an Excel file now, with the total monthly and yearly cost, and update it whenever I add or cancel something. Never cancel or change anything yourself.
What to change
- [MY SUBSCRIPTIONS OR "SEARCH MY GMAIL"]: List them, e.g. "Netflix monthly, Adobe yearly, gym monthly", attach a bank statement, or write "search my Gmail for receipts and trial emails" (Google must be connected).
- [WHERE TO SEND]: WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack or email.
- [DAYS BEFORE]: e.g. "2 days".
- [DAYS BEFORE YEARLY]: e.g. "10 days", so you have time to decide and cancel.

How to do it with todo.is
- Copy the prompt and either list your subscriptions or connect Google and let your agent search Gmail.
- Paste it on the Today screen in todo.is or send it to your agent on WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Open the Excel list and fix anything wrong, like a missed or old subscription.
- Reply "keep" or "cancel" to each reminder. If you cancel, do it on the service's site and tell your agent so it updates the list.
Tips for a better result
- Cancel free trials a day or two before they end. Some services charge at the start of the last day.
- Check your bank or card statement too. Some subscriptions do not email receipts.
- Watch for intro prices that jump after 3 or 12 months. Those are the most common surprise charges.
- Do one subscription audit a year: list everything and cancel what you have not used in a month.
subscription renewal reminders: FAQ
- How do I find all my subscriptions? Search your email for words like "receipt", "renewal", "subscription" and "trial", and check 2 to 3 months of bank and card statements. Your agent can search Gmail for you.
- Can todo.is cancel subscriptions for me? No. It finds the cancel page and reminds you in time, but you cancel yourself. It never changes accounts or payments on its own.
- How early should I be reminded about a yearly renewal? About 1 to 2 weeks before. That gives you time to decide, compare prices and cancel without rushing.
- Does it see my bank account? No. It only uses what you give it, like a list, an attached statement or your Gmail receipts if Google is connected.
